Pilates Group Class Descriptions
Basics Level 1
Starting with the Basics gives you an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Pilates without needing a great fitness level or any prior knowledge. If you haven't yet tried (or would like to retry) Pilates to attain the benefits of a balanced body, improved core strength, and better flexibility, this class provides you with guidance suitable to inform an entry level of understanding or ability.
Core Essentials Level 2a
Employing similar principles as learned in Basics, Core Essentials classes introduce new movement variations and a selection of unstable equipment to add variety and challenge. Core Essentials targets all muscle groups to increase control, strength and flexibility. These classes will keep you motivated and reaching for new heights. Prerequisite: Basics Level 1 and/or permission of instructor.
Core Challenge Level 2b
Building on the work done in Basics and Core Essentials, Core Challenge ups the anti by using a full range of unstable equipment and more complex movement variations. The work becomes more challenging and endurance is emphasized. Resulting in strength (without bulk), flexibility and enhanced body awareness. Prerequisite: Core Essentials Level 2a or permission of instructor.
Power Fusion Level 3
“If you can’t stand the heat...get out of the kitchen.” For the ultimate in toning, body balance and endurance, Power Fusion will push your limits. Test yourself against a constantly varying program that includes advanced use of unstable equipment and reaches all body parts. This class will challenge your boundaries. Inspire yourself, feel great, and watch your body transform. Prerequisite: Core Challenge Level 2b and permission of instructor
